We hire Notre Dame liberal arts majors into a
lot of different positions. We hire quite a few liberal arts majors from Notre
Dame. We hire liberal arts majors into everything from merchandising department
to our brand analysis department. You could be in marketing in a client-facing role, in investments, finance, accounting, project
management, technical services, training, Arts and Letters graduates have those
communication skills and those relationship building skills that we’re
really looking for. What liberal arts majors tend to bring are conceptual thinking
skills, the ability to solve problems, be able to communicate those findings
with your clients. They also have the ability to peak around the corners and
see things in grey areas. Notre Dame liberal arts majors come into our
programs and are excited to drive both the analytical and creative parts of our
business. Being such a multifaceted global brand, it’s really important that we have
people that can think about our business in different ways. Diversity of thought
is very important as we think about the consumer, so it’s good to get a variety
of majors. We’ve seen Arts and Letters students from Notre Dame be successful regardless of
the major that they came from. An Arts and Letters graduate would definitely thrive in a number of positions that we have at Epic. There are a number of Arts and Letters graduates thriving in those positions
right now. We’ve seen great success with liberal arts majors;
they tend to do really well at Abercrombie and be promoted up to be leaders of teams,
multiple teams, and really leaders in the company as a whole. Those skills that liberal arts majors tend to
bring will be extremely important and help you be successful. We think it plays very well
within our culture.
