Learn about the Childhood and Social Institutions program at King’s
If you are interesting in going to law school, or going into teaching,
Childhood and Social Institutions is the program for you. I really love children, and I want to work with children in the future. I just love spending time with chilrdren,
and this program was talking about advocating for children’s rights,
and I’m really loving it so far. We start with a broader, conceptual perspective, where we focus on human rights, and discourse, and power relations, but then we focus in on childrens’ everyday lives and so that contrast between
what children experience, and the systems or outside factors that are impacting those experiences. From being in Childhood and Social Institutions,
I’ve come to realize that children are human beings, and we need to listen to their voices. And we can actually use their view and their perspectives of the world
to have an impact on our society.
