EMIRATES A380 PRIMEIRA CLASSE – Dubai-São Paulo
– You’re adorable. Thank you so much!
– Thank you! See you! – See you! Bye-bye!
– Bye-bye! The Emirates agent was super nice and
brought me here to be the first to board, so I can show you
the first class cabin. Dubai-São Paulo, on Emirates A380’s
first class, there we go! – Hello, welcome! Good morning!
– Hello! How are you? – You must be Mr. Drummond…
– That’s me! – I’m recognizing you from your videos.
– Daniela, what a pleasure, a Brazilian! – It’s my pleasure! We’re very
happy to have you with us! – And I’m always happy
to fly Emirates! – Will you follow me, please? – Welcome aboard! – Another Brazilian?
– Another Brazilian! – What’s your name?
– Wellington. – Wellington, it’s a pleasure!
– It’s my pleasure, welcome aboard! With two decks, the A380 is
the world’s largest passenger aircraft. It can hold more than 500 people. In Emirates first class, here in the upper deck,
there are 14 suites, in a 1-2-1 configuration. This is my suite, 2K, that I’ll show you
in detail in a while. – Daniela, what about this flight?
It’s going to be amazing! – It’ll be a long flight. You’ll have time to enjoy all the facilities
of your suite, the spa and the lounge. It’ll pass quickly, you won’t even notice. – Oh, no! I want it to take longer. You can make it last longer,
15 hours more. No problem! I barely got here and the champagne
service has already started. – Mr. Drummond, champagne
Dom Pérignon 2009. – Thank you! It’s going to be Dom Pérignon 2009 today.
No mimosa! Dubai-São Paulo on Emirates’ A380,
there we go. – Here I do have your amenity bag, your sleeping wear placed inside this sleeve, your eye mask and
your slippers. I just got my amenity kit, I’m going
to show it to you soon. Nida also brought me my pajamas, medium size,
that will look perfect on me, I’m sure. And this Emirates first class bag,
which is a must, I love this bag, I really use it. I have this bag at home, it’s perfect. – Emirates first class exclusive dates
and Arabic coffee service. Would you like to try some
dates with Arabic coffee? – Yes, please! – And my colleague Nida…
– Oh, Nida, thank you! – Hello, sir! I have Arabic coffee for you.
– Great! – Lovely! – Have you tried our
Arabic coffee before? – Yes, I love it.
– I’m glad! – Thank you, Nida.
– Please, enjoy! – Thank you. Hmmm, I just love this. – Let’s see… What do we have here,
Ingrid? Time magazine… – Yes. – I think there’s so much
onboard entertainment… – That you don’t need…
– That I won’t need magazines… – Thank you!
– Thanks! Honestly, I don’t want to read anything. I just want to enjoy every second
of this flight. I’m now going to show you
all the details of my suite. Oh, but before that… – Would you like our hot towels?
– Please! – Thank you!
– Thanks! – It’s really hot, huh!
– Yes! – It’s on fire! Watch the steam
coming out of it! Thank you! Whenever I get a hot towel, I remember
my first Emirates A380 flight, from Seoul to Dubai, that became
a classic of the channel. It was the video that started everything and I’m very fond of both
the airline and the plane. And I still remember it was the
first time I got the hot towel, exactly seven years ago,
and threw it on my face. And it’s very cool to repeat that now,
on this flight, flying now to my country. Here’s a light that you can dim,
fresh orchids… A basket with several goodies. These treats are for you to eat during the flight,
or if you want, you can take them home. The only thing you can’t take,
of course, is the basket, ok? The basket must remain on the plane. Look at this, salty caramel,
mints, chocolate, cereal bars, effervescent tablets, which help you to hydrate
and get better from jet lag. Potato chips and gourmet popcorn. In this drawer, an Emirates leather notepad
and a pen, that you can take home. They’re yours. It’s a gift. Here’s the vanity mirror, with lights… By the way, it’s a pop-up system,
you can open or close it. A kit with amenities that
you can also take home. Facial spray, moisturizing eye cream,
refreshing towels… That’s all yours. This amazing screen… Here’s my suite number,
2K, flight EK261. A Bowers & Wilkins headset. Excellent! It comes in this case
and it’s noise cancelling. But it can’t be taken as a gift.
It must be left on the plane. This light can also be dimmed. Its control is right here. You choose
the brightness of the light… This is your personal mini bar,
with diet pepsi, seven up, Perrier water, Evian water and a regular pepsi. It must be lowered for take off and landing. This other button is for the tray table. In the right corner of the suite
you have this safety belt to keep your suitcase
safe during the flight. We’re preparing for take off and
they’re already showing the safety instructions video. It’ll be a 14 hour and 20 minute
flight from Dubai to São Paulo. And, now, a few curiosities. The first Emirates A380 flight
was on August 1st, 2008, 11 years ago,
from Dubai to New York. Since then, the airline had more than 100 million
passengers on this aircraft. Emirates has 110 A380 currently flying
to 50 cities around the world. This plane I’m flying today
is new. Its first flight was in 2017. In addition to the 14 first class suites,
it holds 76 passengers in business and 426 in economy. A total of 516 people. Have a look at the screen in that other suite. It’s showing the image of the camera underneath the plane. Here, the front camera and I’m going to film the
take off from the window. And, of course, I’ll leave you with
the sound of the engines. Well, I’ll keep showing you
some details of the suite. Emirates has three screens. You can watch the inflight
entertainment on this screen. You can watch something else
on this screen, on the armrest, that’s also the joystick for
the games. Or enjoy the inflight entertainment
on the main screen of the suite. This is an air conditioner vent, that you
can keep open or closed. Listen to the noise. On this side, there’s a storage compartment.
Very generous, right? Another compartment for
personal objects. The sound system is right there
and here’s another vent. And a reading light. Here are the blinds controls. This first blind is only to break
the luminosity and this is the blackout system. Look at our route. Leaving Dubai, crossing
the Middle East, entering Africa, crossing Africa, entering the Atlantic coast
of Africa, crossing the Atlantic Ocean. Let’s see where we’re
going to enter Brazil… The plane is almost there. That’s Montes Claros, in Minas Gerais.
São Paulo right there, flying over Rio de Janeiro, and this is going to be our route today. The flight is just beginning
and I’m going for my first visit to the first and business class
lounge in the back of the A380. This is the business class cabin. There are two business class sections, this
first one and another one back here. A little further back is the lounge. Let’s go there. These are the new sofas, the new configuration
of the Emirates lounge. – It looks beautiful, Daniela! There’s a small table … You can enjoy it with your friends or even socialize with
others passengers. In front of the bar, there’s a screen
in which they broadcast live games. All these snacks are for the
passengers during the flight, both business and first class passengers. Fresh fruits, candies, you can order these
snacks or sandwiches to eat at any time here in the lounge. Olives, breadsticks… My favorite part. Cake! And this
is chocolate cake. The champagne served in the lounge
is Veuve Clicquot, but first class passengers can also
order Dom Pérignon. And look at the wine selection. Vodka, cognac, gin… Whiskey.
It’s a full bar. You know that I love
white wine, right? But Daniela is insisting that I
try the first class reds. – Hello Jayme, the red wines that
I’ll present today will be the Saint-Estèphe, a 2005 French vintage wine. Emirates bought this wine 13 years
before it was delivered, when it was still in the
process of aging. And logically, a regional wine, a wine
from Mendoza, Argentina, a 2015 Cheval des Andes. Great wine, I loved it. Let’s go to the Argentinean. In general, Argentinean wines are
full-bodied, right? Very good! Tested and approved! But now I have to have
the Carioca NoMundo drink. After all, I have to toast with
you this moment, right? I couldn’t do without it, right? Here’s our mimosa! Cheers! A toast to all of you who follow the
channel and to the joy of being here again on the Emirates A380, which is one of the
most emblematic planes of the world. And it was the video that I made seven
years ago, flying from Seoul to Dubai, that became a classic of the channel and
that practically started Carioca NoMundo. A toast to all of you who
follow the channel. Cheers! The first class menu is
very extensive. They offer several choices of
main courses, appetizers, desserts, besides snacks, sandwiches, that you
can order at any time during the flight, whenever you want to eat. There’s no pre-established time
for lunch or dinner. Time to order, let’s do it! – Ingrid, I think I’ll have… – Caviar for sure.
– Perfect. – I’ll have a mezze and as a main course,
I think I’m going to order the pasta. – Perfect. – Would you like to start with the canapés?
– OK. – What about the dessert? – I’ll go for the ricotta pudding with chocolate. – Very good. So the pudding… While the flight attendant sets the table
for lunch I want to talk about the Dom Pérignon champagne
that’s being served. It’s a blend of pinot noir and
chardonnay grapes, made by Maison Moët & Chandon
since the 1920s. It’s aged for at least seven
years before being marketed. So all the bottles are vintage. By the way, the largest worldwide consumption of
Dom Pérignon is aboard the Emirates aircraft. And every year 2,3 million bottles of
wine and champagne are served in first and business class. – Mr. Drummond, along with your caviar,
may I recommend you to have a vodka? – Sure! – Today we have two different
vodka for your caviar. We have Belvedere, from Poland,
and we have Imperia, from Russia. – What would you like?
– I’d like the Russian one. – The Russian one.
I’ll come back in a minute. This caviar appetizer with all its garnishes
is an Emirates classic. More than 2,7 million cans of caviar
were consumed by first class passengers since the first flight of the first
Emirates A380. – What do we have now, Daniela? – We have an exclusive French wine
from our menu. The Condrieu DePoncins. It’s a vintage wine of 2016. It’s a dry wine, with nectarine
and almonds aroma. – How wonderful! – Hmmm, it’s good, it’s really
dry and I could smell the scent of nectarine you said. – I loved this, Daniela. – We have another one.
– Let’s go! – Clos Floridene… – Perfect. It’s the 2013 vintage. It’s a white Bordeaux. – Its aroma is wonderful.
It’s spectacular in the nose. Wow! I loved it, I’ll have this Clos Floridene
to begin with, Daniela. I’ll try the others later.
Thank you. – Mr. Drummond, may I give you a little
description of our Arabic mezze today? – These is stuffed vine leaves with lamb kibbeh,
baba ghanoush, tabouleh, mujaddara, this is the feta with herbs, houmous and sauteed spinach with chickpeas. Arabic bread and Iranian bread. Please, do enjoy! All Emirates first class passengers
get 20 MB of free internet I couldn’t resist this beautiful table and
have already posted a photo on Instagram. Here! I already can see your likes! The main course: spinach ravioli
with tomato sauce. The Emirates cheese selection
and what I like best! – This is a hot dessert.
It’s a chocolate pudding with ricotta. – Hmm, great, thanks, Ingrid!
– Enjoy! You know I never say “no”
to a chocolate dessert, right? It’s so good! I’m back to the lounge and check
that out, it’s so cool, a live football match! Live TV! I’m having so much fun
here in the lounge! This is Jiri and this is Petra. They’re both from the Czech Republic
and I’m teaching them Portuguese. – How do you say? – Hi, how are you, Brazil? – I am Jiri and I am Czech.
– Very well! Congratulations! – Petra, how do you say? – My name is Petra and
I am Czech too. – Congratulations, your
Portuguese is perfect! Now, our head bartender Bruna
will prepare caipirinhas for everyone. I would like to take a picture for you with
our onboard camera! – Thank you, let’s go for it! Time to take a picture with the Polaroid
they have aboard on Emirates. That’s so cool! Now Jirí has arrived with the duty free trolley
and I’m going to buy an Emirates set of keyrings and an A380 model for my collection. Back to the first class cabin, I asked
the flight attendant to prepare my bed so I can rest a little
soon after I take a shower. Here, next to the stairs to the A380 main deck,
the first class exclusive shower spa. This Emirates A380
shower spa is spectacular. There are two bathrooms like this,
the shower spa, one on the left and another one on the right. Check how many nice features.
That screen… A hanger for your clothes. Right there, all the shower amenities:
shampoo, conditioner, soap, comb, cotton, cotton swab,
toothbrush, shaver. My towel is already here. Note that the toilet lid resembles those
of the private jets, covered in leather. You have space to sit down and to place
your things if you want. Here, a panel with an image of Dubai. This super cool mirror with a special light,
next to a magnifying mirror. And this sink that looks
like a hotel sink. And you can control the
water temperature. No paper towels here.
These are real towels. Hand cream, liquid soap and Bulgari colognes.
For men and women. And here’s the hair dryer. This is the pajamas that comes in this
super nice felt sleeve. In the back, the slippers I’m going
to wear as soon as I get out of the shower. A sleep mask for the eyes. And the amenity kit, beautiful,
in leather, by Bulgari. Shall we open to see what’s inside? Shaving foam, aftershave Bulgari lotion,
another Bulgari cream, a moisturizer, deodorant, shaver, how cute
is that? I liked it! Disposable tissues, a Bulgari cologne,
refreshing towels, comb, toothbrush, I liked the set! And finally, a lip balm. And here’s the famous
Emirates A380 shower. That round timer with the
green, orange and red lights indicates the remaining volume of water you still have. Each passenger is has five minutes. You can let the water fall
or interrupt using this button. I hope the water is warm. It’s warm. Amazing. The fasten seat belt sign is on. We’re starting
to have a little bit of turbulence… My water level is in the middle, but I think
I’m going to continue my shower with a little excitement… It feels so good! Think about it! When can I take a
shower with turbulence? Where else? I’ll stay here until I run out of water… I already changed my pajamas,
check my look. Just one more detail. The cologne. I’ll leave with a good smell. Ready to go back to my suite
and take some rest before we arrive in São Paulo. Nida is taking my clothes
to hang them in the closet. – Thank you, Nida, thank you. I’m getting spoiled. – No way! Thank you, how sweet! I get back to my suite and
there’s a fruit plate waiting for me. – This is so kind!
Thank you very much. – Please, enjoy. I’ll be right back
with your tea. – Wonderful, thank you. I’ll start to prepare myself to sleep. This chamomile tea will help, right? I laid down a bit, but I confess that
I can get no sleep. And this is going to be
the last service in first class. What a privilege. It’s Ingrid
bringing it for me. We’re almost arriving in São Paulo
to land at Guarulhos airport. – Thank you so much!
See you soon! – Very good!
– Or I’ll see you in Rio! – Thanks, guys, bye,
it was wonderful! – It was an amazing flight, spectacular,
you are the best! Bye, thank you! We arrived at the end of another flight. I hope you liked it! Please, give this video a like,
subscribe to the channel and follow me on Instagram
@carioca_nomundo. Thanks and see you soon!
